Welcome to Fitzpatrick Elementary Media Center

Mrs. Jennifer Lane, Media Specialist

The goal of the Fitzpatrick Media Center program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of the media center. Instruction in library skills is provided to enhance student skills in the use of the library as well as to stimulate an interest in reading. The library program also works with teachers and staff to develop learning skills that will meet the needs of individual students.

Library Hours of Service

The Fitzpatrick library is open to students and staff from 7:30 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. In addition, the library is open after school from Tuesday through Friday - 3:00 until 3:30 P.M. Students must obtain a library pass from their teacher to use the library after school.

Overdue, Lost, or Damaged Books

Students are held responsible for lost or damaged books checked out of the library. When a book is overdue, students and their teachers will be notified. Failure to return books in a timely manner may result in a notification sent to the parent through the student. This notification will list the title and price of the overdue book. Please help your child locate the overdue book or pay for the lost book.

Accelerated Reader Program

Fitzpatrick Elementary School encourages reading. At the end of every nine weeks, the AR Gift Shop is held. Students may choose small gifts in exchange for the percent correct earned while taking AR quizzes.
